Don Ho's Island Grill is a new eatery at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Don Ho's replicates the casual Barefoot Bar ambience of groovy old Waikiki -while serving up good food and great music. It is ideally located on the water and the harbor dock is often host to glorious ten million-dollar yachts and beautiful water cruisers.

 Don Ho partnered with Maui entertainment and dining figure Shep Gorden and Barry Sliverman of Rodeo Cantina and Moondoggy's. The Chef Marino of Nick's Fishmarket and Acqua restaurants is overseeing the menu of Island-inspired appetizers, stir fries, fresh Island fish, pizzas and rotisserie dishes.  

 In keeping with the Hawaiian feeling, you're greeted by Don Ho's Island Grill Ambassador of Aloha Henry Ayau, formerly general manager of the old Duke Kahanamoku's in the International Marketplace where Don Ho skyrocketed to fame.

Although Don doesn't have a formal appearance schedule at the restaurant, he regularly appears after his show and cruises the tables. His presence is a kind of living philosophy: "Ain't no big thing, bruddah. Have fun. Buy another round. This is what life's all about. Suck 'em up!"

His mementos are scattered throughout the restaurant. Don Ho posters from his shows and nostalgic photos are liberally sprinkled throughout. "Mr. Tiny Bubbles" personifies Hawaii and his new restaurant does too -- with palm trees, surf boards, lauhala mat floors, grass woven awnings, drinks of the tropics, and the "Tiny Bubbles Bar.
