Radio Disney celebrated its first birthday last Saturday.  The national AM radio station geared toward a teen and younger audience, went all out for their birthday celebration, calling up great acts like Christian Davis, A*Teens, Hoku, and No Authority, to perform at a special bday concert.  And not just anyone could go to this private party.  You had to be a lucky contest winner, or a VIP.  The Vanderbilt Theatre in Long Island, NY, was filled to the brim with excited Radio Disney listeners, eager to see their favorite performers do there thing.  Even though there were a few audio problems, the spirit and energy of the crowd and the performers kept the show going strong all day.

The first act of the day was Christian Davis, the up and coming solo artist who has both looks and talent.

"If You Love Her".  During his performance he disclosed that it was his birthday, so when he was finished, the audience sang Happy Birthday to the cutie who turned 20.  Christian's charm, humor, and soulful voice made him a definite success.

During his half hour performanc
e he sang his current single, "Safe in the Arms of
Love" in addition to "Body Rockin' Time", "Turn off the Lights", "Angel", "How Will I Break it to my Heart", and a song he sang to teach a lesson to all the guys in the crowd,
Straight out of Sweden, came the show's next act, A*Teens, minus one injured member.  Dahni was unable to perform due to a leg injury. He did however limp out on stage on crutches to say hi to the audience.  He also joined the group at a meet and greet following their performance.  Marie, Amit and Sara continued the show as usual, exciting the crowd with their fresh covers of ABBA classics.

After A*Teens, the talented and not-so-dumb-blonde, Hoku took the stage.  Accompanied by back-up dancers, she performed three songs including her upcoming single "How Do I Feel" and her current hit single "Another Dumb Blonde".  Her interaction with the audience was exceptional: during the show, she threw stickers and postcards into the crowd!
With the help of dancers and her bubbly personality,
Hoku's performance was extremely entertaining.
By this point the crowd was pumped for the headliners, No Authority.  Tommy, Danny, Eric, and Ricky put on a great show.  Beautiful voices, smooth dance moves, and four hot guys had the girl's screaming throughout the performance.  No Authority entertained the Radio Disney crowd with new songs from their upcoming

album and old favorites.  The kicked off the show with "Don't Stop" from their first album "Keep On", and ended the show with their next single to be released in June.  And as all No Authority fans know, "this song has one simple question... can I get your number baby?".
