Born and raised in Hawaii, 18-year-old Hoku (which means "star" in Hawaiian!) has been singing and performing ever since she can remember. For years, Hoku shared the stage with her dad, Don Ho, the well-known singer whose single "Tiny Bubbles" was a smash hit in the 60s. It was at one of these shows that Hoku was "discovered" by producer/songwriter Antonina Armato, who wrote the single "Another Dumb Blonde" just for her. Since then, Hoku has moved to Los Angeles and signed on with Geffen Records. "Another Dumb Blonde" is included in the soundtrack to Nickelodeon's new movie, "Snow Day," and she'll start recording a full-length album in 2000. It's been a whirlwind year and a lot of hard for Hoku, who's about to prove to the whole world that she's not just "Another Dumb Blonde."
